Virtual tabletops are brilliant at the maths. They calculate your modifiers, stack your damage dice, and keep the game moving with lightning speed. But to get that automated efficiency, you’re forced to click a digital button and watch a simulated animation. The physical ritual of the game is gone.

If you choose to roll your real dice, the digital magic breaks. The moment you pick up your physical maths rocks, you become a data-entry clerk for your VTT. You have to manually calculate your modifiers, shout out the totals, or type them into a chat box. You are forced into a frustrating compromise: sacrifice the tactile joy of rolling real dice, or sacrifice the automated speed of your digital platform.
